You will be picked up from your hotel at 4:30AM, at which point you will depart from Cusco. You will pass through the cities of Izcuchaca and Limatambo, before arriving at Molle Pata at approximately 7:30AM. You will then have breakfast, before being transported to the Markokasa point. From that point you will start your 5-hour trek, passing through the villages of Markokasa and Canaleta Inka. You will arrive at Soraypampa at 1:30PM, where you will take a lunch break. Following lunch, you will visit the beautiful lagoon of Humantay. At the conclusion of your day, you will have dinner before being able to rest.
Day 2: Soray Pampa, Chaullay
At 7:00AM you will have a nutritious breakfast before continuing with your trek, you will begin from Soraypampa to the highest point of Abra Salkantay, passing through Salkantaypapa and Soyrococha where you will appreciate a small lagoon before beginning the descent towards Huayracmachay. Once there you will have time for lunch, before continuing for 3 hours towards Chaullay, the location for your second camp.
Day 3: Chaullay, Playa, Hydroelectric
After breakfast, you will start a walk of about 7 hours before arriving at La Playa. Following a lunch break at “the beach”, your whole group will take a bus to Santa Teresa from where you will continue your trip on foot to the hydroelectric. Here you will have the option to either take the train from the hydroelectric plant or private transportation to “the beach – hydroelectric”. Once you arrive in Aguas Calientes after your chosen tour, the itinerary will continue its course, but this time with a new guide and a new group of people.
Day 4: Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu-Cusco
Early in the morning at around 4:30AM, you will ascend to the majestic Inka city of Machupicchu. Here you will tour accompanied by your guide for approximately 2.5 hours, before having the rest of the day at your leaisure in which you can visit Inti Punku or Machu Picchu Mountain. You will return in the afternoon to the town of Machu Picchu, before eventually returning to Cusco.
